Letter from the PrincipalBuilding Principal, Mike Krutz

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students of Merrillville High School,

I hope that summer has been a relaxing vacation break for you and has provided the energy for a great start to the 2018-2019 school year.   The administrative team has been busy hiring new faculty/staff, enrolling new students, reorganizing facilities, preparing for 9th grade orientation, and making final preparations for the first day of school.

As the school year gets underway please stress the importance of regular daily attendance; wearing ID’s, appropriate student dress, taking an active role in their learning and appropriate school behavior, which are essential components for student success.  Parental input and collaboration is something we strongly value and encourage in our school community. It takes a team approach to provide a safe and structured learning environment for all of our students.

We are looking forward to a successful start to the 2018-2019 school year!

    Most Sincerely,

    Mike Krutz

    Principal
