MIS is bringing back our peer mediator program! The goal of a peer mediator is to help students find alternative ways to resolve conflict with each other. The peer mediator assists in the conflict resolution process. Peer mediators will go through training during lunch for 6 sessions. After completing training peer mediations will be conducted during lunch on a rotating schedule under supervision of the social worker or guidance counselor. We are looking for students who are responsible and respectful, do not take sides, get along well with peers, are trustworthy, show concern for others, attend class regularly, no discipline issues, are a positive role model and stays calm in stressful situations. If you are interested in becoming a peer mediator or were one last year please pick up a permission slip in the main office. Applications are due back by Wednesday November 26th.
