Online Test Window For ISTEP+ Multiple-Choice Assessment Grades 3-8: Monday April 28 - Friday May 13
The purpose of the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress Plus (ISTEP+) program is to measure student achievement in the subject areas of English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. In particular, ISTEP+ reports student achievement levels according to the Indiana Academic Standards that were adopted in November 2000 by the Indiana State Board of Education. An Applied Skills Assessment and a Multiple-Choice Assessment are used to measure these standards; they are required components of the ISTEP+ program.

    UPDATE: Blocking Ruler
The blocking ruler tool was added to the ISTEP+ Online testing system after the ISTEP+ Online Multiple-Choice Examiner’s Manual was in production, so it is not visible in the online tools list in the manual. We apologize for this inconvenience. You may use the guidance below to practice the blocking ruler with students.
SAY:     The fourth tool is the blocking ruler. As you read, you can use the blocking ruler to move down each line in a passage. You can also use the tool to move down the list of answer choices one at a time. Click on the blocking ruler icon and a thick ruler will appear across the screen. Then click on the ruler and practice dragging it up and down across the screen. You can use it just like a bookmark to track the words as you read. You can also move it from side to side on the screen. Practice moving the ruler from side to side now. Remember to move the ruler to the side when you get to the end of a passage or come to the end of your answer choices.
