• Mr. Mackey comes to Merrillville High School from New Orleans, Lousiana.  He received a B.A. in Drama from Loyola University of New Orleans and he received his teaching certification through the University of Phoenix, Merrillville Campus.

    Mr. Mackey was the Technical Director for the Apollo Theater in Chicago for eight years.  While in Chicago, Mr. Mackey also worked with several other theatre companies such as The Strange Tree Group, The House Theatre of Chicago, Strawdog Theatre Company, and All Hype Entertainment.
     
     
    Mr. Mackey also has professional credits as a stage manager, lighting designer, set designer, musician, writer, and director.
