    Introduction to the Spanish Language - LAN-1

    This class is an introductory course to the Spanish Language. This class is for the true beginner, who is receiving their first instruction in this language. Have you wanted to learn how to understand andspeak Spanish?  Do you have a trip planned to a Spanish speaking country? Make communication easier by developing somebasic skills in theSpanishlanguage.  This class will guide you through pronunciation, greetings and basic questions and answers.  Vocabulary is emphasized over grammar and will be presented through common real-life situations.  Instructor: Melissa Byerly

    Introduction to the French Language - LAN-2

    This class is an introductory course to the French Language. This class is for the true beginner, who is receiving their first instruction in this language.  Have you wanted to learn how to understand andspeak French?  Do you have a trip planned to a French speaking country? Make communication easier by developing some basic skills in the French language.  This class will guide you through pronunciation, greetings and basic questions and answers.  Vocabulary is emphasized over grammar and will be presented through common real-life situations.  This class is for beginners, or for someone who does not know Spanish very well.     Beginning Conversational French, Culture - LAN-3


    Parlez-vous francais? Be able to respond "oui" to this question and more with this basic introductory look at the French language. This six week program will allow you to begin to build French speaking and grammar skills needed in conver- sations (especially if you are planning a trip to France or another French speaking area of the world). Activities for the class includes watching a French movie, authentic French cooking and possible out of class activities to prepare you for anything French, whether just filling a language curiosity or preparing for that trip to a French speaking country!     BEGINNING CONVERSATIONAL CHINESE MANDARIN - LAN-4

    Going to the 2008 Summer Olympics?  Perhaps you want to do business in the China's fast growing economy?  Then learn an ancient language that's spoken by more people than any other in the world, Chinese Mandarin.  This class will teach characters, numbers, greetings and basic questions and answers.  Vocabulary is emphasized over characters and will be presented in real life situations.  So, come join us on an educational experience to the Far East, where together we will explore the joy that is the Chinese Mandarin language.  Instructor, Cindy Lam Kin Goad, is a native Chinese speaker and is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Fujiian dialect, with 20 years experience teaching the Chinese language.
