    Course Expectations, Goals & Routines

    All students should bring the following items to class EVERYDAY. Student ID, Pirate Planner, U.S. History Textbook, Class (Interactive) Binder, Notebook, Pencil/Pen (Blue/Black Ink), and ALL Handouts and assignments given by the teacher.

     

    *The "Scope and Sequence" chart below (Under the Course Description) is an outline of the material/standards that will be covered in U.S. History III over the course of a twelve-week tri-mester.

     

    *If a student is absent, or if a parent/guardian wants more details about what is happening in class, then students/parents can go to my class website: Google Classroom/Class Code:_________________ , and get Day-to-day class activities, Homework Assignments (With Due Dates), Class Handouts, and Class Notes

     

    *All Information on this page was given to students on the first day of class and can also be printed!

     

     

    Course Description

    TOPICS IN HISTORY: USH III: AMERICAN HISTORY FROM 1970-PRESENT

     

    Topics in History provide students with the opportunity to study specific historical eras, events, and concepts. Development of historical research skills using primary and secondary sources is emphasized. This course focuses on American History from 1970 to the Present.  This survey course to be taken by ALL students. 

     

    -Grade Level: 11-12

     

    -Prerequisites: U.S. History I and U.S. History II

     

    -Credits: 1 trimester course for 1 credit

     

    -Fulfills one credit for the U.S. History requirement of the General, Core 40, Core 40 with Academic Honors, and Core 40 with Technical Honors Diplomas

     

    -A Career Academic Sequence or Flex Credit Course
